Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Dubai London Hospital Group aims to raise awareness around early detection and screening methods, as it is known as the most common invasive cancer in females worldwide. In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as part of our community initiative, Dubai London Hospital Group offered a complimentary breast cancer clinical examination and mammogram or breast ultrasound screening was provided for women who required additional investigations as per their consultation with our doctors, valid throughout the month of October.
Our medical experts were given the opportunity to present a talk with various corporate entities such as Fitness First, Orange Wheels, Aquila School, Dubai Holding entities, Dubai Community Management, SAP MENA and Mumzworld to spread awareness about breast health concerns, educate people about breast cancer risk factors, and emphasise the importance of regular screening and regular breast self-exams.
Dubai London Clinic, The Villa Centro collaborated with the Dubai Community Management to organise an Open Day not just for complimentary breast cancer screening but also to provide other services such as a basic kids’ health check, a BMI check, and a kids’ dental health check.
